You haven't been welcomed to a hotel until you've been given the Novotel Darling Harbour welcome. The check in staff have it all, great chat, the treat bags are on hand, they remembered what wine I like, and went out of my way to make sure the room I got was perfect. How Andrew remembers everyone who walks through the door is a special kind of magic, and even though I haven't been back here for a while it felt like it was just yesterday. Thanks Team
Family Vivid Weekend and it's the second time we've stayed here. Great ambience, smooth check in, great staff, food is good, cocktails exceptional, great location and a solid price. My only criticism is that the kitchen - even just for bar snacks - should stay open longer on a Friday and Saturday night.
Entrance through carpark was a bit difficult, plus one of the lifts was out of order. The receptionist was efficient and we checked in without a problem. Well appointed amenities but the shower pressure was dismal and it was quite a task for 2 adults and 2 children to shower with such low pressure water. Overall, a pleasant stay as the room was spacious, clean and close to lots of attractions.
We had a wonderful stay, our room was upgraded to Executive Suite Queen Darling Harbour View, then as soon as we had entered our room, we had a surprise complimentary champagne and chocolate for our wedding anniversary celebration. We had a very sumptuous dinner at The Ternary. The breakfast buffet is also wonderful. It makes our short weekend vacay very worthwhile, kudos to Novotel, till our next booking.
Our stay at the Novotel was generally very good, with many aspects exceeding our expectations. However, there were a couple of areas where we felt improvements could be made. The room was comfortable, but the lighting could be brighter, particularly during the day. We also experienced some issues with the breakfast service, where the hot food was not served at a sufficiently high temperature. Despite these minor issues, we would still highly recommend the Novotel to friends and family. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's amenities were well-maintained. With a bit of attention to the lighting and food service, the Novotel could further enhance its already good standard. Regards Brandie & James
