We stayed in a superior standard room and it is tiny. The bathroom is small and there is not much room on one side of the bed, which is near the wall (maybe only 12 inches). The room is not cleaned every day because of “climate change” which I didn’t like. So I asked them to at least make up our bed and they very kindly sent Iqbal - who was wonderful. A superb service oriented person and he went above and beyond cleaning the room, even though I said it is okay to just make the bed. I would give Iqbal 5 stars for his competency, compassion, and friendly demeanor. The front desk can get busy and I always had to wait if I needed help. The morning check out is extremely crowded. More people at the front desk would be good. The price is a good value for this hotel so stay here but expect small quarters and not daily cleaning. The bed is comfortable which is an huge plus. Also leave yourself plenty of time if you need to speak to the front desk.
We went at the hotel with my wife for our honeymoon last year in the end of September. We had a small incident during the first evening that we had to forgot because on the next day Mr Thava helped us and welcomed us very kindly with Miss Vita. They made our stay at the hotel pleasant, so, we didn’t remind about the accident. I will express my findings during our stay and our suggestions. Pros: 1. The room was light and sunny even though a bit tiny 2. Room was quite clean 3. The bed was very comfortable 4. The breakfast was pretty good 5. We had mostly interaction with Mr Thava and Mrs Vita and we were impressed that the entire staff is pleasant and professional Cons: 1. The bathroom was too small and even the sink was super small, so, we were not able to freely clean our hands with the normal sink faucet. However, there was a second one which was more suitable 2. There was no electrical outlet/output in one of the sides of the bed, thus, one of us was not able to charge its phone Suggestions: 1. Put more suitable sink in the bathrooms 2. More electrical inputs, possibly with different types of mounting
It’s a nice hotel, the Novotel lobby is under renovation so the lobby and elevator is a bit hectic. The shuttle is great, they drop you at liat towers on orchard road and Stevens station. It runs all day. The breakfast spread is good, almost same food every day. Taste is good. Rooms are small size compared to other countries. Clean and comfortable. Has all the amenities. The infinity pool is beautiful. The premier lounge has little to no food, just 3 variety and drinks. The staffs are nice though. We went once for 3 night stay. The highlight is Mr. Mohammed from the breakfast restaurant on the 2nd floor. He is very professional and welcoming. The only downside is The room has no open windows so it feels a bit stuffy at night. Even if you on the exhaust fan in the bathroom , it doesn’t really help. All in all, great value for money.
I had a truly wonderful stay! From the moment I arrived, the service was wonderful — especially from Deepika (at the check-in counter), who was warm, professional, and made the whole process smooth and welcoming. Her attentiveness really set the tone for the rest of my stay. The location was great, making it easy to get around and explore the area, while still offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel itself felt tranquil and refreshing, a perfect place to unwind and relax. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast buffet — the spread was generous, varied, and absolutely delicious. Whether you're after a hearty meal or something light and healthy, there's something for everyone. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Mercure!
