Only reducing the rating to 4 stars because I was offered a discount on accommodation by reception for leaving a 5 star review. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Kim sin was very welcoming and great at his job. Helped me sign up for a walking tour and pub crawl, and beat me in a game of pool. All of the staff are great at creating a good atmosphere. The rooms are nice, with a good level of privacy and security. The 11pm curfew is great when you need a good night's sleep, but there's always the option of going out after the bar closes.

I had such a wonderful experience staying at Mad Monkey Hostel in Phnom Penh! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The hospitality was truly exceptional, everyone was friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Special thanks to Kim, Kelly, and a few other amazing team members whose names I didn’t get , they were especially kind and attentive to me and my sister throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and constantly cleaned, which made us feel at ease. We also loved the food and drinks at the hostel’s restaurant bar everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The whole atmosphere at Mad Monkey was fun and relaxing. I’ll definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Phnom Penh. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great hostel experience!

Mad Monkey Hostel at Phnom Penh is honestly one of the best places to stay if you're looking for fun, good vibes, and great people. The staff here are super friendly and always down to help with anything you need. The rooms are clean and very big, comfortable, and the social scene is amazing. There's always something going on like pool parties, pub crawls, beer pong or just chilling at the bar. It’s the kind of place where you arrive as a solo traveler and leave with a bunch of new friends. Perfect for backpackers who want a mix of adventure and chill.

Good place to stay if you want to meet new people and have a good time! The walking tour with Kim was very informative and set a good vibe for the rest of my stay. Leakena did a great job with the killing fields tour and did a free henna for me! Great stay!
