Mad Monkey Bayswater is honestly such a great place to stay. The whole hostel is super clean, which is something I really appreciate—bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas are always well kept. But what really makes it stand out is the vibe. Everyone here is super friendly, and the staff do a great job of making sure people feel welcome. They put on heaps of events, so it’s really easy to meet people, whether you’re keen for a pub crawl, BBQ, trivia night, or just a casual hangout in the Rooftop. The location is also ideal—right in Kings Cross, so you’ve got easy access to transport, nightlife, and everything else Sydney has to offer. If you’re new to the city or just traveling solo, I’d definitely recommend staying here. It’s got everything you need and an awesome atmosphere to go with it!

The cleanest and most organized hostel in Sydney. A very friendly and fun atmosphere. It has a beautiful rooftop with city views, and the staff is always kind and attentive. 100% recommended.

Absolutely loved my stay at Mad Monkey Hostel! Everything was great from start to finish. The staff were super friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a fun vibe. I met so many awesome people in the common areas, and the social events made it really easy to make friends. The location was perfect, close to everything I wanted to see and do.

Stayed at Mad Monkeys Bayswater, and it was amazing! Rooms were very clean and sorted for us when we checked in, and service was great throughout the stay. The location was perfect as it was close to a train station which gets us directly to the city!

Great hostel, friendly staff and everything was clean. Lots of cooking stuff. Quite a bit of long stayers but they're a friendly bunch so evenings are always a good time!
