Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter! We stayed at two hotels in the same price range during our trip in Hanoi, and this one was by far the best. The room was much more spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a fresh, lovely scent throughout (I’m super sensitive to smell). Service was top-notch, everyone was incredibly attentive, especially during the buffet breakfast where there were plenty of staff around to help. The buffet itself was one of the best we experienced in Vietnam, with a wide variety of delicious options. I love that they have the whole fridge of fresh juices and yoghourt for us to grab. Special shoutout to Chloe at the front desk, she was so friendly, helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. The whole team treated us like royalty without ever pressuring us for a review, which we really appreciated. The location is perfect, everything in the Old Quarter is within walking distance. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Hanoi!

I had read that this hotel was the most welcoming and friendliest place to stay and while I can't judge any other hotel in Hanoi (because I haven't been there), I can say this place was friendlier and more welcoming than I expected. Every single staff member made us feel so cared for and welcomed every time we engaged with them. What a great environment to arrive to while travelling far from home. The location is fantastic, walking distance to nearly anything you would like and the rooms are great - clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast is fantastic, even for vegans which isn't immediately obvious online, so please note this if you're vegan. Overall this was an exceptional place to stay.

Amazing service and genuine smiles from every staff member we interacted with. At check-in, we were greeted by Chloe and Emma. Emma asked questions about our plans while in Hanoi. All this information would be meticulously noted down to our room profile. All the staff members were well aware about any special requests-- meaning if you made an arrangement with Lotus, the whole hotel team would be aware of it and you didn't have to go through explaining it again. We had an early Ha Long Bay cruise pick-up on check-out day and and hotel staff offered to make us to-go breakfast. Plus, they kept out luggage safe while we were on an overnight Ha Long Bay cruise. Those were the amazing touches that alleviated a lot of stress traveling. They anticipate your needs so well and deliver on it. The breakfast buffet was the best on this trip. A variety of Vietnamese dishes, but also sandwiches that you can order. The arrangement of fruits and juices is fresh and delicious. Service in the restaurant is excellent here as well.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat!! It was the perfect stay in a great location for exploring the city, but it was the lovely staff that really made our time here. The breakfast was great with vegan options available. We feel so lucky to have found this hotel and met all the lovely staff working there. Thanks for a great stay!!

We had the absolute best experience at Hotel du Lac in Hanoi!! Each and every single component of this hotel, from the rooms, the food, and especially the exceptional service, went above and beyond our expectations. We were able to celebrate our honeymoon in comfort and will absolutely stay here again if we return to Vietnam, in addition to recommending this to all of our family and friends. No issues or concerns to speak of at all. If you’re even considering this hotel, please come!
