What I like: The hotel room and toilet are very clean. The daily breakfast buffet offers a variety of options suitable for both adults and kids, and the drinks include sugar-free options like iced soy milk. There are free daily tea snacks, but they are only redeemable in the afternoon. The location is excellent, with a supermarket and 7-Eleven just across the road. It's about a 10-minute walk to Kaohsiung Station What I dislike: The Level 1 lobby does not have Wi-Fi for customers. The lift is small, too slow, and there are only two lifts. During the breakfast peak time from 9-10 am, the lift becomes heavily congested. The lift does not require a hotel keycard to access different floors, which poses a safety concern. My hotel room door does not close automatically, which can be troublesome at times. There are not enough facilities; the only one available is a game room for children, and there is nothing else for adults to do in the hotel. Overall: Still Highly Recommended to stay in this hotel. I would give it a 8-9/10!

I loved my 3d2n stay at Kung Shang Design Hotel! It’s a short walk from exit 8 of the iconic Formosa Blvd Station (great for getting my daily steps in lol). The room was huge, the biggest I’ve had in my entire stay in Taiwan, but also one of the cheapest. I genuinely couldn’t believe the price for what I got: big bed, work area, separate living room with sofa and tv, separate japanese style dining room, all with huge windows that let in a ton of light, which is very important to me. Loved the heated toilet bowl with bidet, too! Breakfast buffet was really good, there were so many options for food, it took me an hour to finish what I got on my plate ? There are 7elevens and FamilyMarts around the hotel. Also some great street food and milk tea. Liuhe Night Market is also just a street over!

The best hotel I've stayed at in Taiwan. We were able to rest a lot. The hotel and rooms were super clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were perfect. The breakfast was very good, with some Western options. Friendly staff. We loved the tea time detail, and we also appreciated the free bottles of water provided every day. A 10.

Unlike other of similar size hotels, Kung Shang Design Hotel can be rated on par with other 4 stars hotels in the city. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful, resourceful and professional. Room is comfortable, suitable for individual, couple or even families.
