We came here a few months ago, and it really is a superb place. I recommend it with my eyes closed. The food is absolutely delicious, and Vandini makes us feel right at home! She took the time to explain the surrounding area, give travel tips and much more. Service-wise, the best Guest House for me in four months of travel. The room isn't exceptional but the family is so friendly that it's just a detail. Thanks again for everything !
I stayed at this amazing Homestay for about a week. The host makes you feel so welcomed and at home. There's a few different styles of rooms, all simple but comfortable, clean and safe. I stayed in the garden view bungalow...I loved it, really nice to wake up to that every morning. It's all set on a plot of land with the rest of the family of the host, uncles, brothers, mom and some kids, which I didn't mind at all. One of the reasons why I stay at homestays over a guesthouse or hotel is because I want to see and experience the local life ..The Day to day and learn about the culture around me. But you still have your privacy, no one feels intrusive. There's also free range chickens and roosters running around, but they weren't noisy and didn't wake me up in the morning, but there is the Called to Prayer, which again I didn't mind; cause I've stayed in Muslim areas before, so didn't bother me at all, but maybe something you want to be aware of. There's also super cute kittens, and some ducks around. The food served there was absolutely delicious and priced well. Tea and coffee is free and served all day, just ask and there's also free breakfast...a choice between eggs and toast or banana pancake. You can also rent a scooter from them, which you will need, cause even though the neighborhood is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful to walk around, there's not much to do...A few small shops that's it, so if you want to see any waterfalls, monkey Forest, big rice fields or anything else your going to need a bike...There's a few really nice waterfalls about a 10-12min drive away, there's cheap to enter but really really stunning ..One waterfall I went to, I had the place all to my self, cause it's still not well known to tourist yet. Theres no hot showers, but there not ice cold either and again for me it was fine, cause it can get warm outside. Plus cold showers are pretty common on Lombok. There's plenty of tour packages you can choose from with a guide. I definitely recommend this place, again simple but priced right, lovely stay, I was sad to go, such good company... Amazing host, she made me fell right at home and was willing to help me or any of the other guests out with whatever they needed. I felt safe and secure, well taken care of, which is important as a solo female traveler... I Highly recommend. ☺️❤️
I spent two nights here and can absolutely recommend it. The family is super nice and takes great care of their gesture. I have rarely received such good support. The breakfast is top. The rooms are very clean. As the other comments mentioned, it's in a Muslim area, you can clearly hear the mosque - which is part of the culture though. There is only cold water in the shower, which is usual here. The location is great. It's super quick to get to a small waterfall and the rice fields, a bit more remote than most homestays, but really beautiful. Small stores right next door. An absolute recommendation!
We stayed here for 3 nights and it really was the highlight of our trip so far. The family make a wonderful effort to share their culture with you, make you feel welcome and simply have a nice chat. Breakfast was included and delicious (and spicy on request which I loved!) The rooms are clean and comfortable. Tetebatu is generally cooler than elsewhere in Lombok so not having aircon really doesn’t matter. They also provide lots of information for different day trips, hikes and experiences to do in the area - mountains/cooking classes/waterfalls/tobacco trips/pottery/traditional villages and so on. And help to arrange transport on to your next destination. We were heading back to Bali and we’re gifted traditional snacks for the journey and a blend of spices to make an Indonesian curry at home ? Thanks so much for having us ?
Perfect place. Very confortable, local food available (but a bit long for the food to arrive). Possible to rent scooters. Close to monkey forest and waterfalls
