123 Mount Davis Path, Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong
The rooms are clean and tidy as it is only a youth hostel. It has everything you need in the kitchen and the shower room except food, drink and toiletry that one has to bring. Excellent location with a beautiful mountain top sea view within 20 minutes away from the city.
Pro: Magnificent view. Good facilities. Low price. Comfortable and spacious Rooms / Dorms. Close to city areas. There are free shuttle buses from Kennedy Town to the hostel. Suitable for people who travel in groups. Cons: Not so convenient. After 7:30 pm there are no free shuttle buses to the hostel. You need to take a taxi (usually allow 4 people for each taxi) or use apps to call vehicles. Please note that there are non-YHA-type hostels/youth hostels/guesthouses with so-called dorms (3-tier bunks) or private rooms (but need to share toilets with other travelers) in city areas (e.g. old mansions in Wanchai, Causeway Bay, Jordan, Tsim Sha Tsui). However, they are overpriced, inconvenient (e.g. many people share a toilet, and shower with hot water lasts for only 5 minutes and then needs to wait for 15 minutes to use again), uncomfortable (poor soundproofing, beds have bugs), and unhygienic (many people squeezed into a small, dirty and poor-ventilated room). Some dishonest owners will even provide misleading information. I would suggest people avoid these hostels and visit 24-hour McDonald's or Internet cafes instead.
An amazing place to stay. Only thing to consider is that it takes a little bit of time to get into the center. If you just walk down the hill 15 minutes and grab the 5b you'll get there in maybe half an hour or so. But other than that, it's a well worth stay. The views are amazing, especially for the sunsetting. The staff are very nice and exceptionally accommodating. You do have to bring your own food but the kitchen facilities are brilliant, I felt like a chef again. I recommend if you're staying for a few days in Hong Kong stay here for the rest of the trip after staying in the center.
Nice place at top of hill and scenic view of kowloon disney land airport and ports harbour awesome gorgeous sunset view
