We stayed here with 4 friends and booked a 16 sqm room without a window via Trip.com. But when we checked in, they switched us to a 13 sqm room with a window — kind of a trade-off. The front desk staff couldn’t speak English, so we had to communicate using hand gestures and a translation app. From what we could gather, it seemed like they were trying to charge us extra for the upgrade. But we insisted on the windowless room we originally booked. In the end, they let us stay in the room with a window without any extra charge. There were no-smoking signs all over the hotel, but our room still had a strong smell of cigarettes. Even the trash bin had a burn mark from a cigarette butt. Not really blaming the hotel though — probably just careless guests. The hotel itself is new and stylish. But the 13 sqm room was so small that it was hard to even open a suitcase. Also, there was no fridge in the room. If you're coming during cooler weather, that might not be a big deal. But if you’re here in the summer, you won’t have anywhere to keep drinks cold. The toilet clogged really easily — both in my room and my friend’s. (We’ve traveled all over the world, including Japan and Europe, and never had a toilet this sensitive.) That said, the housekeeping lady on the 6th floor was super helpful and had amazing service. The hotel location is great — within walking distance to points of interest, and there’s a convenience store right next to it. All in all, it wasn’t perfect, but we really enjoyed our stay. If we come back to Shanghai during the cooler months, we’d definitely stay here again.
Lovely Hotel with Excellent Service I recently stayed at the All Seasons Hotel on Sichuan Middle Road in Shanghai, and it was such a pleasant experience. The hotel is not only clean and comfortable but also has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. What impressed me the most was the service. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful — always ready to assist with directions, transportation tips, and even local food recommendations. They truly go above and beyond to help tourists feel comfortable and supported, especially if you’re visiting Shanghai for the first time. The location is also perfect — central and convenient, with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. If you’re looking for a cozy, friendly place to stay in Shanghai, I highly recommend this hotel. I’ll definitely come back again!
Stayed there for a night and it was a pretty pleasant experience. The receptionists were friendly and although they didn’t speak much English, they really tried their best to help, which I appreciated. One of the highlights was their cute little delivery robot that brings your online orders right to your door, super convenient The location isn’t exactly in the heart of the attractions, but still walkable to places like The Bund. Room was simple and clean, nothing fancy but comfortable enough for a short stay.
