Our first hotel in Shanghai, and already captivated by the hospitality of all staff, limited in English but they try still to deliver the best, our request for bedding amenities is always fulfilled, helping us to order food also. the breakfast cover the authentic shanghai cuisine. Good job all teammm ❤️
During our recent stay, we initially found the online booking cost to be quite high. Upon arrival, we inquired about the per-night rate for a high-rise floor and were pleasantly surprised to find a lower price offered at the hotel. As a result, we canceled our online reservation and booked on the spot, which turned out to be a more cost-effective option. Overall, our stay was good, with comfortable accommodations and a pleasant atmosphere. However, we noticed that the breakfast buffet had fewer options compared to other Intercontinental hotels we’ve visited. An expanded selection would certainly enhance the dining experience. Despite this, we had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the helpfulness of the hotel staff.
We were in Shanghai last January, and I just had the time to write this review. First time in Shanghai and also our first hotel experienced there. Overall really impressed with the service people, although with limited english but they tried their best to fulfilled our needs, from room service to ordering food. Also we had a chance met the GM, mr. Roy from Singapore in front of the lobby. Really nice person, we ended up with nice souvenirs from the hotel and a nice picture printed for us to brought home. Definitely will be back someday
Our family had a delightful stay at this charming hotel. Though it’s an classic property, it has a timeless elegance and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally courteous and professional, especially the Chief Concierge Sky and the Assistant Front Office Manager Diana, who went above and beyond—upgrading our room and offering excellent travel tips for exploring Shanghai. The breakfast was a highlight, with delicious *shengjianbao* (pan-fried buns) that we loved. Every detail made our stay comfortable and memorable. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily return in the future. Highly recommended for those who appreciate classic hospitality!
