114 Nishikiomiyacho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, 604-8365, Japan
Rooms are abit small and hard to get around with luggages. Service was excellent, they provided umbrellas on first come first serve basis - a lifesaver during our visit due to kyoto's random rainshowers. Location was close to bus and train stations, but abit far from the main attractions and lively places.
Location and service are a 5/5! We had a slightly bigger room than most, so we can’t complain about the size! Compared to the APA hotels it was an upgrade! The lounge is also nice with free water and 100 yen coffee, but the real winner here is the staff! They spoke amazing english and it seemed like they loved their job and talking with you! Highly recommended!
We recently stayed at Hotel Ms Shijo Omiya for 3 days and 2 nights, and while the overall experience was pleasant, I would like to suggest an upgrade to the in-room TV system. The current setup only supports local channels, and there are no English channels available, which made it difficult for me as an expat tourist to enjoy any entertainment in the room. It would greatly enhance the guest experience if the TVs supported Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing access to platforms like YouTube or streaming services. This simple upgrade could make a big difference, especially for international travelers. Other than this, I found the staff to be very friendly and supportive, which I truly appreciated during my stay.
