Fantastic hotel, the service was impeccable! Leo was a wonderful host, took care of us and start to finish. And the breakfast was out of this world, more than I could eat, but the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in a long long time. The location of this hotel is ideal, especially as an out-of-town visitor to Auckland. Definitely will stay here again!

Pablo. Leo and Eric were all awesome hosts. They were all so helpful and friendly. We met Pablo on the first day and he showed us absolutely everything we needed to know and nothing we asked was too much. The warmth on our arrival was wonderful. This was matched by Eric and Leo. In fact when we returned it was like catching up with old friends. We returned and spent 2 more day there instead of the planned one because we enjoyed it so much and was a great rest from our adventurous biking/caving and walking holiday . The rooms were so clean and comfortable. Really beautifully appointed. Very comfortable beds. Daily service. The breakfasts were tailor made and delish. We had ours on the balcony which was wonderful. Complimentary drinks and food from 5 in the library. No off street parking but you just gave your car rego and that enabled you to park on the street. If wasn’t a problem. Was a short walk to Ponsonby and into downtown. Can’t recommend enough. We met a number of people who come here regularly! When we left today to catch a very early flight Leo had chatted to Pablo about getting breakfast ready for us before we left at 5:30am!. So we had a wonderful send off with coffees and pastries in little boxes. Will definitely be back!

Fitzroy was all we wanted to wrap up our honeymoon. The hotel is located in a beautiful area, rooms are quiet and beds are large, breakfast was delicious and the 2 team members we interacted with - Pablo and Eric - were friendly and helpful (thanks Pablo for the “what to do in 1 day in Auckland” recommendation) We would totally come back here if ever again in Auckland. Last but not least, short 30 mins ride from the airport

Our experience at Hotel Fitzroy was a great way to end our trip to New Zealand. The staff were very attentive and allowed us to check into our room early, and additionally prioritised our breakfast due to an early flight. The decor in our room (Campbell Suite) and the main hotel is fantastic, the bed is super comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well designed. The hotel is in a great area of town (Ponsonby) with lots of shops, bars and restaurants, although I recommend booking the restaurants in advance. We had a very memorable stay!

Boutique Auckland city stay. Like a home away from home. Warm and welcoming hosts Sue and Chris made my stay in the city of sails. Sadly no time for Brekky so will have to come back ?
