2 High Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010, New Zealand
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in this delightful downtown boutique hotel. We recommend a corner street facing room where possible. Sound proofing is so good, there is no noise. The room is really comfortable and we like the cool contemporary design throughout the hotel. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. The corner bar is a fantastic place for a drink on the sidewalk. Breakfast is delicious. Could not fault anything and will certainly return one day. Thank you Hotel DeBrett for a perfect stay.
Great location, great property and great hospitality. All hotel personnel we engaged with during our stay were pleasant and eager to offer help. One of our best stays in NZ and a good start to our journey through NZ. Property is an older building, so do embrace the charm and quirks of it. The hotel offers to place daily milk service (all types). We arrived early morning from a long-haul flight, and the manager was kind to have our room ready (even during peak weekend dates) and went above and beyond, to offer a choice of 2 rooms – balcony / no balcony, we elected the city view (no Balcony). Our room was facing the street across the hotel, not the atrium. Standard and decent room. Their elevator deserves a mention as it is one of the most retro elevators in a hotel. Has all the highlights and knick-knacks of a boutique hotel in the middle of the city, don’t underestimate their in-house hotel bar on 1st floor – cozy bar. Had a wonderful stay here! Loved the friendly vibe of this small boutique hotel. The staff were great and went the extra mile to make our honeymoon special. Room was very nice with a comfortable bed and lots of space to spread out. Loved the colors and unique decor. The restaurant was excellent, we had a couple breakfasts there as well as high tea. There were plenty of gluten free options, including whole tower of gluten free treats at tea! (for gluten sensitive, not celiac) I would eat at the restaurant even if not staying here. The hotel is located in a pretty loud area but the noise didn't bother us in the room. There was tons of stuff to eat and see within walking distance. The hotel has a membership card you can use at a local chain gym a few blocks away.
Had drinks and dinner. Manager was nice enough to take us on a tour of the hotel. Can see why they have repeat clients. Planning a stay in a loft suite. Very professional staff in an amazing step back in glamorous times. You instantly forget the bussle just around the corner.
I am a regular at this hotel for both business and personal stays and there's a reason it's my favourite Auckland hotel... For a start the staff are always amazing and just can't do enough. Being a smaller hotel it has a personal friendly vibe. The food and beverages are always high quality and the best thing is the large, quiet rooms with divine beds and THE BEST HOUSEKEEPING IN AUCKLAND! Totally recommenced :)
