I travel for work and this was my first time here. It's wonderful: all the staff are *AMAZING* - in full capitals - and they are what makes this place. Particularly as a woman travelling, hotels can be pretty faceless places - not here. All the staff, even passing the staff maintaining the rooms in the corridor, are *wonderful*. In the restaurant they are all so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Some top flight hotels would wish they had staff with this enthusiasm and attention to detail. What's so amazing is it's not just single individuals who are incredible, it's also how they all work together so passionately as a team. You are a *lucky* company to have such individuals working for you. The hotel itself is nice, and has a gym and swimming pool (which puts it above Premier Inns where I normally stay). The Restaurant and bar area are lovely, and the food is excellent on the menu (the brie and beetroot tart with kale pastry is fantastic). But some of the rooms are just looking a bit tired/in need of refurbishment. Holiday Inn needs to invest in the rooms/infrastructure to bring that up to the levels of the amazing staff they have there. If they did this they could blow any other Hotel in the area out of the water! Your staff are absolutely *amazing*; please invest in your infrastructure so you do them all justice.

Love it here, this is the our main hotel for work. The staff in all departments are lovely. The hotel is a very high turnover with people. So it's hard to keep on top of maintenance, but they do. Location is really good. Would highly recommend.

As a member, we’ve stayed in a few Holiday Inns. Following a move back from LA, we had a longer stay at the Rochester Holiday Inn whilst awaiting a move. The staff are incredible, from the bar/reception staff to the cleaning staff. All friendly and exceptional service. Karthika in particular made us feel incredibly welcome from the start of our stay. I also work remotely, and the bar/restaurant area is very well equipped for working so I wasn’t just confined to my room. It seemed very popular too! Busy/good social atmosphere in the evenings or the choice of a quieter night with room service. Would stay again.

I have been to the spa and gym. Staff are lovely and helpful. Changing rooms could do with a refurbishment but sauna, steam room, pool and jacuzzi r great. They also have a small gym and do exercise classes for all abilities ?
