9-6 Jong-ro 18-gil, Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea
Pretty good location, a short walk from a metro station (though the entrance to the hotel isn't immediately obvious), and there's plenty of quick food options nearby in a pinch too. The room was on the smaller end but clean and serviceable, though apparently the heater is just permanently on and it didn't seem like the temperature control did much so we needed to turn on the AC a couple of times. Staff were friendly and there was a free laundry service even if I didn't use it.
Stayed 2 nights here and it was comfortable and clean. The entrance to the hotel is a bit hard to find as it’s in a back alley. That being said it can be a little intimidating walking to the hotel, especially after dark. The inside of the hotel is very homey and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint about the room would be the motion sensing light inside the room at the entryway. If you’re sharing a room you’ll definitely wake your partner when getting up to use the restroom at night. Overall a solid stay for the price.
The Grid Hotel is fantastic. Staff are really nice and really helpful. We asked for plug adapters and they lent us 2. They lent us an iron and ironing board. They also have a scale to weigh your bags! Laundry facilities are FREE and they supply detergent and fabric softener; the machines are new (there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer FYI, but they are huge! Double load for sure!) and they are for use 24/7! The room is basic but has good AC. Excellent storage and real shower pressure. Room also has a mini fridge, kettle and coffee/tea. The hotel has an elevator and the rooftop is a must (buy a drink from CU or 7-11 and chill with the view). It is right beside the subway and down a small alleyway but super easy to find (go down the ally beside the Mega Coffee - also a local coffee chain that slaps). Money changer across the main road, bring your passport. We would 100% recommend and stay again! And we just stayed at 2 5 Star Marriotts before this one and we are more than happy.
Spent 5 nights here and had a wonderful experience. The staff were all so kind and helpful. I spoke in Korean and English with them and didn't have any difficulties when speaking English. For bedroom amenities, there was only a small fridge and kettle in the room. They provided a couple coffee packets and sugar, and you get free water bottles in the fridge. Whenever I needed more water, I just asked for it at the front desk. There's one communal washing machine and dryer in the basement below the ground floor and it was free to use, with laundry detergent and softener provided! I was up early and would do my laundry around 7am or 8am and never had to wait. It was hot when I arrived so was very grateful the AC worked throughout my stay. Overall, great facility with affordable rates and located close to everything you need. I would use them again if I visit Seoul in the future.
We loved this hotel during our stay in Seoul. It is quiet, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and the free services offered are a great bonus. Free laundry, free water bottles and free umbrellas. Our room was perfect for me and my wife and we had a comfy nights sleep each time. The location is excellent there is a convenience store 20 meters from the hotel and it is also surrounded by multiple local restaurants, all seem to open early and stay open late. The subway station is a short 3-5 minute walk which is very nice. I highly recommend Grid Inn Hotel for anyone staying in Seoul. We will definitely be rebooking with them in the future for our Korea visits.
