Love the nice and friendly service staff. Breakfast quantity has improved but the quality is very good. Room air-conditioning is good. Love the bed and pillows. Clean and fluffy towels in a very well cleaned and spacious room. Location is easily accessible via Grab. Not an issue. My fourth stay in this hotel. Will be my go-to hotel each time I come to Batam.

Really a grand hotel that is totally hidden away from the main road. Nestled along the main road, this hotel is deep behind Sydney Hotel. Despite the closeness of the name between Sydney and Grand Sydney, the hotels both overview looks different. Lets dive in! Rooms: The room that we got was long! Right upon entering the room, we saw the toilet and the mini pantry on the left. Right past it, there is a mini meeting area. It serves as the living room which to us was a bit redundant. There are better ways to attract customers, especially to young parents. We do have some ideas but wouldnt spoilt it here..hehehhe. Basically, the room is long with 2 TVs! Nice yeahh.. Service: Staff were with their smiles. The only downside was when we were at the gift shop/convenience shop/ mart to purchase stuff but no one was around, despite waiting for 10mins. Attractive items available but this was a down on the experience count. Location: The place wins especially in Location. Despite being along the main road, we didnt hear anything from the main road, especially from any vehicles. Rather quaint and nice place to chill. Others: Place seems secure with staff looking around constantly, even in the evening. We felt safe around the hotel. Amenities around the area is slightly off a distance away. We would suggest you to buy your snacks before coming back to your room to rest and unwind. Just fyi, the red arrow is where the entrance to the hotel is. So it u see Sydney hotel, Grand Sydney is further in. All in all, we would recommend at least once. Its a nice hotel but can be improved better actually. Cheers!

Wanted to give lower rating but the price i paid had to be justifiable. SGD30/night for an executive king room. The bad: Single card access. Unblocked view but boring. Disappointed with the hot shower. Its not even warm Flooding during shower, it takes very long to drain the water. Toilet door has broken lock. The good: Quiet area. Free shuttle bus to ferry terminal, needs to be prebook 1 day before check out. Friendly staff. Free parking for guests. Has a minimart at the lobby, but not 24hrs.
