Staying here was an amazing time we loved every second of the stay. A special thank you to Lily, who helped us arrange a smooth fast-track service and transportation from the airport, ensuring we had a seamless arrival. Upon check-in, Lily went above and beyond by not only assisting us with the formalities but also taking the time to personally connect with us. She recommended fantastic local experiences, like the weekend night market, which became one of the highlights of our trip. We truly appreciated her warmth and thoughtfulness. The hotel’s restaurant was another highlight of our stay. We’d like to commend Eric from the dinner service and Emma from the breakfast service for their exceptional hospitality. They were always attentive, respectful, and consistently greeted us with genuine smiles. Their care and professionalism made every meal feel special. We also had a wonderful experience at the spa. From the warm greeting by Kelly to the outstanding massages provided by Mango and Violet, everything was perfect. My partner and I felt deeply relaxed and cared for throughout the treatments, with the therapists regularly checking in to ensure our comfort and pressure preferences. It was easily one of the best spa experiences we've ever had. We want to also sincerely thank Grace for her incredible assistance during our stay. She helped us with a smooth and easy checkout process and was so kind to help us move rooms, personally taking care of our luggage for us. Her friendliness and helpfulness made our experience even more comfortable and stress-free. Lastly I would like to thank Thomas Nguyen for his excellent hosting and service with us! He was very generous and caring and greeted us with a smile every time and always asked us how we were doing, he even recommended us places to visit as well and we were really grateful to get to know a bit about him on our last day there. As a final beautiful gesture, we were surprised with a thoughtful tote gift bag from the hotel as a parting gift. It was such a warm and heartfelt touch, and it truly made us feel valued and appreciated as guests. Overall, we absolutely loved every moment at Grand Hotel du Lac Hanoi. Every staff member we interacted with treated us with genuine kindness and respect, making us feel completely at home. If I have missed mentioning anyone by name, please know that we are deeply grateful for everything you did to make our stay so special. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its incredible team. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine smiles and thoughtful hospitality. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. It’s rare to find such kindness and professionalism all in one place. The rooms were cozy and beautifully kept, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with plenty of fresh, tasty options to start the day right. And the rooftop—what a gem! Stunning views and such a peaceful atmosphere, it was the perfect spot to unwind. Thank you for everything!

I was really happy to find this nice hotel at the last minute. The staff are so friendly and conscientious. The lobby and rooms are very nice. The amenities are not fancy but are fine, as expected. They bring new water bottles every day. I loved the peacefulness of the rooftop pool before breakfast, which was always a lovely buffet with a generous mix of fruits and Asian and western offerings. The spa treatment I received, more of a pressure massage, was fantastic and ridiculously inexpensive. The location is perfect for exploring the old town or turtle lake or the central shopping district, and you can get a Grab ride anywhere else you’d like to go. I highly recommend it!

I would give this hotel 1000 stars if I could. Lilly and staff are so kind, helpful, inviting and cordial. I cannot recommend a better place to stay in Hanoi for your visit. There was so much help once we got in, from bringing in our luggage, helping recommend places to see, and scheduling our limo and taxi rides. Benny and the restaurant staff were very kind and it was great conversing with him over breakfast. I have never received such excellent service from everyone, and will of course come back to stay here the next time I am in Hanoi. Thank you!!

We had an exceptional stay at the hotel, thanks to the outstanding hospitality and attention to detail from your staff. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and it was clear that every team member was genuinely eager to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Special thanks to staff Thomas, Grace, Jayce and Lily! They are the true gems of your establishment. Thomas greeted us by name each day, including our child, which added such a personal touch. Grace went above and beyond, even assisting us with directions after her shift had ended. Their dedication and warmth were truly appreciated. The housekeeping team kept our rooms spotless throughout our stay, always polite and respectful. We were constantly greeted by smiling staff at the entrance, who never failed to open the doors for us with kindness. Breakfast each morning was a highlight! The food was delicious, with even a simple stir-fried noodle dish standing out. Service at the restaurant was top-notch and added to the overall wonderful experience. Thank you for making our visit to Hanoi so memorable. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip.
