Massive (by Sydney standards) for a “properly built as a hotel” solid building of its age. First floor balcony with views is superb. Drinks cost nothing more than elsewhere (& some are lower priced). Both indoor & outdoor environments are excellently maintained & it’s simply a wonderful spot to eat, drink & chat with friends, with harbour breezes cleansing you all ?. This will sound insane, but I lived in the “crappy but now expensive” 1980s vomit brick box high rises behind it up on the cliff on Victoria St for my first year in Sydney, & I didn’t even know it was here until 9 years later!!! Too funny! I love coming to this place.

Had lunch here with a friend a couple of weeks ago. Am a visitor to Sydney coming from the Country. Chose the Frisco based on previous reviews and decent menu prices. Greeted by Publican who served us drinks and I had the feeling I'd stepped back into a Country Pub with him being very accommodating with a chat and explaining the history of the Hotel. We chose to sit up on the outside verandah which offered a small view of the water. I asked what the fish of the day was and was told Barramundi- very excited about that. For under $25 I received a beautiful, well cooked piece of fish which was very generous in size and very tasty. The waitress was lovely and chatted well with us. We both needed to use the upstairs toilet. My friend and I very impressed. I don't think I've ever called a toilet area "cute", but this certainly was. Only downside was the smokers on the balcony. With my history of asthma I found this a bit challenging, however overall a great experience. Thankyou Frisco

Stayed in the hotel for a couple of nights. Good location. It’s clean and tidy. Basic but has everything you need. Washing machine and dryer as well which was very handy. Roof fan in room to keep you cool. We stayed there over a weekend and even though the pub was busy, you don’t hear much of the noise. Some of the pub goers did wonder up stairs a bit as there is no door/gate to keep people out who isn’t staying at the hotel.

By far, one of the must-visit pubs that is ever so secluded and low key, that it's virtually never mentioned anywhere on social media or mainstream city website guides. Just a stone throw from Woolloomooloo for those after a very chill and discreet location. Recently refurbished to enhance its wharf-themed interiors, the upstairs bar and balcony is perfect for midday drinks. Ivan and the team were extremely helpful and happy to arrange group bookings. Very cheap meals plus free pool and darts!

Great local pub right near the harbour, had a fantastic veranda on the first floor with views of finger wharf. Also cheap beers during happy hour 4-6pm every weekday
