No. 136, Section 1, Fuxing S Rd, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106
This was a really nice place for our visit to Taipei. It was on the cheaper side but the room was great value. There's free WiFi if you need it. It's really close to the MRT and bus stops. There's lots and lots to do in walking distance too. Free toiletries included and the hot water was lovely, as was the bathtub! The staff were really nice and helpful too. The free snacks in the lobby was a nice surprise. Would definitely stay here again!
Very well located among small eateries, convenience shops, a pharmacy, bakery and even a TCM practice. It is in the centre of town within walking distance of the MRT. SOGO mall is also nearby. One negative point: the chambermaid is not consistent. One day she didn't replenish the beverage sachets and today she didn't clean my room. It's already 2:40pm...
We stayed for 3 nights and felt what the hotel physically lacked, the staff made up for it with their kind hospitality. For context, comfort is not critical when we travel as we only need a bed for rest than for luxury. However, while the hotel obvi is old (cracks showing in ceiling lights, dated design etc), we enjoyed the free (and nice smelling) shampoo, bath tub, HUGE basin, very hot shower, super comfy bed and feather comforter, and humidifier. Also free local snacks and drinks! And of cos free luggage storage upon check out as we spend our last hours in Taipei before leaving for airport. 10/10 recommend this hotel and will stay again :) P/s: example of the staff's kindness: on our first night, we ordered food delivery and completely forgot abt Taiwan's garbage sorting and we mixed all our garbage in one bag. The next day, I took the garbage bag out and enquired with the staff where I could throw, and they said they would take care of it. I believe they helped sort through my rubbish and I was very embarrassed at the thought of them seeing my leftover supper.. the next few nights, we tried sorting into plastics, paper and leftover food (throw yr liquids and wash your take away containers!)
