The worst hotel I have used !  We have not received any help of problems. Most remarkable was a blocked drainage in the shower for 2 days, despite our repeated fix hit. Whatever we asked was not fulfiled. I asked for low calory succerine= Sweet and Low, nothink happend.           Go to another Hotel !

I will request to dark skin and brown skin follows bettet not to choose this hotel.
The ambiance and front desk staff is really good but dinning staff or restaurant staff they treat differently, no respect and zero customer service pathetic only for dark and brown skin ppl which i noticed ?

The Commodore Hotel is called comodo, like the comodo dragon. I am sure this has to do the the phrenethic pronunciation.  The taxi drivers are very familiar with the location, upon a hill.  Upon arrival, you immediately notice the tall bank of stairs. I am sure there was a time when this was impressive. All I thought is I have a whole lot of luggage and how am I going to get up the hill? Once inside, I noticed the 3 persons at the counter in an empty and tired  lobby, did not acknowledge my presence until I stood in front of them and spoke. Perhaps it's a cultural thing. I asked for a room with a large bathtub. They had a room available on the 14th floor. No key card required to get to the level. Once there,  noticed the thick, old carpeting in the passageway. This made it more difficult to push the heavily laden, luggage cart which had seen better days. Once I entered the room, I saw the stained carpeting, chipped up bathtub with chain and plug stopper, and dirty tub faucet. I couldn't help but think, you get what you pay for. The television had no English speaking channels that lasted more than 15 seconds. The hotel staff came and told me there would be no way to get English-speaking channels. Fortunately, I watched UTube on the hotel t.v. The biggest problem? I couldn't figure out how to turn off the lights in the room! Not much sleep. Overall, the staff was professional, attentive and inviting.

I really wanted to love this hotel, my room 1609 so the elevator only goes to 15 so you need to walk the final floor via steps. Big room and would be an amazing view but it’s obstructed by the roof. The room was very hot and there is no control. I went to reception and they said they wood look into it and then sent a fan. Seems it’s a problem because behind the desk there are at least 4 fans ready to loan out. First fan not working, sent up another one. Asked for power plug to charge my phone, first one kept falling out all plugs in room. Back down for a replacement. Long black hairs in the shower on the floor and wall, I have a bald head so not me. Staff super helpful and friendly, breakfast is very very good with a huge variety and tables always clean and maintained by the staff buffet well stocked. Hotel is very traditional in appearance with nothing like it in the area, I just wished they could spend some money on the rooms I am sure the staff are beaten up by the guests complaints. 7 eleven across the road and mini market just near entrance, nice park about 30 min walk up the hill and 20 min walk to China Town.
