We had awesome time in this hotel. The staffs are all amazing. From the time we check in till check out, everything was excellent. Bani who is at the front desk staff is an excellent guy, very helpful and cheerful. He went to extra mile to make our stay comfortable which we appreciate it. Kiran, the security guard from Nepal is very helpful too. Cheerful person. Evelyn from the F&B is very courteous and good at her job. Zabidi from the conceirge is very helpful too.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Cititel Penang. The hospitality from the staff was superb — they were always friendly, helpful, and made me feel very welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel’s location was also very convenient, close to many attractions and good food. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back. Thank you to the team at Cititel Penang for a wonderful experience!

Staff there are very polite and friendliest, got free upgrade room and allow late check out. Despite quite an aged hotel, they managed to take care of cleanliness. Good smell of lobby and elevator area. Comfortable bed and they allow me to choose type of pillow and i got extra feathers pillow. Only the air conditional coldness is just acceptable, lucky got ceiling fan that can flow the cold air. Please do something to fix it

A Comfortable Stay in the Heart of the Action I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. Its strategic location is a major highlight—perfect for tourists! Within walking distance, you’ll find Chowrasta Market, plenty of local eateries including famous nasi kandar spots, and the ever-popular Jeruk Pak Ali outlet for some delicious local snacks. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a functioning air conditioner and even a ceiling fan, which is quite rare but extremely useful during Penang’s hotter days. The bathroom featured a powerful shower with great water pressure, making for a refreshing experience after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. The spread was generous and diverse, featuring local and international options. Japanese selections like sushi and teriyaki chicken were available, along with a delightful roti canai Sarang Burung, which was a hit! The staff at both the front desk and restaurant were friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. Staff name Bani was helpful, sharing the tips surroundings. We even got our room upgraded. Thanks to him. Lastly, complimentary parking is available on Level 1 and 2, which made things easy and convenient for those traveling by car. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and convenience—perfect for both local and international travelers. Highly recommended!

We occupied 2 rooms from the 9th to 13th June 2025. A very centralized location, clean rooms, pleasant front desk staff, dedicated house keeping staff and a wide variety of food for our breakfast. As we are vegetarians the staff went out of their way to offer us a plate of fried rice / noodles every morning during the duration of our stay. Will surely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you Cititel Penang.?❤️?
