This is a solid 4 star hotel with 4 star performance. Staff friendly and rooms are clean and modern. Not a lot of frills and amenities limited to the essentials. The location is on the west side of Hadley park which is the main and largest urban park in Christchurch. One loop around the entire perimeter is just shy of 6km. Great footpaths for running and biking. City center is about a 20-30 min walk. Fitness center here is small and not great. Guest self service laundry available and are coin operated. Morning breakfast descent. They have a continental version (free for Hilton honors diamond members) but if you want hot items, there is an additional fee of ND$10.

Quintessential venue. Beautifully presented. The front-of-house staff, restaurant staff, and customer service have been exceptional. On arrival and check-in, I was warmly welcomed and check-in was efficiently done and I was gifted a freshly baked cookie on check-in. Which was delicious. The amenities are fantastic. The restaurant and bar are Beautifully presented, warm, and welcoming. The food is top-notch. Compliments to the Waitress staff and Chefs for the lovely service and meals provided. I'm sure I will enjoy my stay. I would like to recommend this hotel. I'll stay again.

This hotel was everything I was looking for. The rooms were nice and clean and had a good fresh look. The bathrooms have a more updated look depending on which room you get. It's nice to have all the greenery and water features in the hotel and to be so close to the park and botanic garden! They welcome everyone with a warm cookie which is a nice touch. There is also a fireplace in the lobby. Overall a nice hotel. I didn't go to the restaurant so I can't speak to that, but I enjoyed my stay.

Our first visit to Christchurch. We loved the hotel. Fabulous welcome with well trained, sincere reception officer. Warm, comfortable room. Breakfast service could be better. We had dishes sitting on our table for a while. We can't wait to be back to the Chateau again soon.
