Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Casugria. Sean and Natasha are wonderful hosts and treat you like friends. Quiet room with sound proof doors and windows..did not hear the traffic just outside the room and a lovely bathroom with an outdoorsy feel. The food was excellent, Elizabeth the chef prepared delicious breakfasts and tea time snacks. Very relaxing place to just chill. Do call them and book direct for a better deal. Book early!
We had a great stay here at Casugria Dutch residence. The children enjoyed the pool whole time we were there. Local breakfast served was delicious. The host went out of his way to help us out, when we had issues with some personal belonging lost during transit . Wish we had more days to stay there.
Melaka is a very nice city to visit, but the best part of Melaka is Casugria Dutch Residence and the best part of Casugria are owners, Natasha and Sean and their staff Elizabeth and Michael. Natasha, Sean and staff were so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We learned many things about Melaka, Malaysia, food and plants from our very enjoyable conversations. Casugria is a lovely, enclosed and secure oasis in an excellent location to all of the sights. The grounds of this former Dutch Governor's mansion are beautiful, green and lush as Natasha is a Botanist and planted the fruiting trees and flowers. The rooms are four, adorable and comfortable, sound-proof cottages surrounding the pool and gardens and the compound is shady, quiet and serene. A brutally hot afternoon does not feel so bad after a swim in the refreshing pool. Single, female or females traveling alone would feel perfectly safe at Casugria. For everyone, the experience is so superior to a big, nondescript high-rise, do not hesitate to book this property as soon as you can. Last, but not least, were the incredibly delicious breakfasts which were varied and so substantial, we skipped lunch each day. Be sure to try the yummy Malay, Indian and Chinese items provided.
We loved our stay here. Sean and Natasha are hosts who love what they do and really make you feel welcome. Our room was quiet and peaceful, looking out over the garden. And the pool was a bonus. We particularly enjoyed breakfasts which were tasty and different each morning of our 5 night stay. The communal sitting area meant we met different guests and enjoyed breakfasts with some of them. We would happily stay here again.
