Polish Bay, Gaya Island, Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, Kota Kinabalu
Enjoyed our 3 days 2 nites stay. The personal touches provided by all the staff there was superb. Very easy check in and checkout. The breakfast was good with a good selection of both local and international cuisine. The beach is beautiful. Our villa was spacious. Stayed in the deluxe villa.
More than excellent service in this paradise on Earth. Staff is engaged 150%, nature is wonderfull. After 58 years never seen better house reef for snorkeling. Other part of beach is white send only (for swimmers). They even have 3 buffalo to help them to collect big trees from the beach.
Rooms are lovely, both spacious and well thought out. I'd highly recommend the rooms with a plunge pool - these are generally by the beach, giving you a good view of the local wildlife (wild boar, monitor lizards, jumping fish, birds including hornbills) and serving as a nice space to spend time in. The food is pricey for Malaysia, but good quality, particularly the Asian dishes. Alcohol is expensive, however. There's not a huge amount to do, so 3-4 days is enough and serves as a good break after a long period in the rainforest. There are water sports and snorkelling. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our time there.
