Great hotel overall. Bars along the front, quiet rooms on the back face over a vacant lot. Room was clean and serviced daily, Staff were friendly and attentive. Location is 2 City blocks (5 minute walk) from the beach.

Location is amazing, between Soi 6, Beach, and Walking street. Everything was fine, tidy, service is good, and everything work, BUT the place lacked a kind of "final touch". For instance, sauna door was broken and it was cumbersome to get more löyly-water (however, good thing is that you were allowed to throw löyly, as one should). There is a gym, but the heaviest weight is only 12.5kg, and so on. I could almost give fie starts, it was a pleasant stay, but to get five stars in the "better hotel" category, where I thing blackwoods belongs.

Stayed here for 3 days, booked through Expedia when they had a sale. It was around 59$/ night when I booked. The hotel property is conveniently located on Soi 7 just meters away from the row of bars. The hotel itself is beautiful. Modern and stylish. I had a standard room with king bed on the 2nd floor facing the street and there was noise pollution coming into the room until 4am. It wasn't a problem only because I would stroll in at 4am. =) The roof top pool is nice with a beautiful view of the beach. The best thing about this hotel is: THE BREAKFAST! It was included with my booking. Try the sunny side eggs and the fluffy pancakes! Thank you for a great stay and a full stomach every morning.
