We couldn't have picked a better hotel in midtown. Close to everything. We needed to amend our schedule to fly in a day early due to weather, and the manager was so helpful making that happen and even found us a discounted price. When we arrived, we asked for a room higher up facing the Empire state building if possible. He informed us that he had a room but also warned us the room may be colder than lower floors, and while a little cooler, it was still comfortable. We knew we would be gone a lot of the time and we like it cooler when we sleep, so no biggie at all. He did let us know if we needed a space heater we could request one so that was a nice touch. The room was smallish but most are in NYC. Bed was comfortable. Wished the pillows had been firmer and more of them but all in all, it was a great night's sleep every night. Room was quiet. Could not hear any sirens or traffic. Even other guest were quiet and respectful, The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here in the future when we are in the city.
We stayed for 9 days and we had a very good experience. The hotel is well located, near transports, shopping areas and noticeable places such as the Empire State Building, Times Square or the Flatiron Building, all within walking distance. It’s an ideal accommodation option for a first-time visit to New York. We had the chance to have a direct view on the Empire State from our room. There was a little misunderstanding with our booking but the management took really good care of us - special kudos to Patrick Patel, a wonderful humain being. The whole staff is polite and friendly. There is a little bar where you can eat breakfast a which is nice. We had read some comments about surrounding noise. Indeed, there can be some disturbances, as you can hear people in the hotel’s common areas. However, it’s more a matter of courtesy and respect from the guests than an issue with the hotel itself. That didn’t stop our 4-year-old child from sleeping well at night.
This place is top notch - excellent and very professional service, super clean, and great location. I stayed here with girlfriends during Easter break. My father passed away at home while I was in NYC. The staff were very helpful and kind. I had to cancel the remainder of my trip and they made sure there were no penalties for the cancellation and that I'd get my Best Western points returned to me. I will definitely stay here in the future.
Just returned from a wonderful one week stay at this Best Western for my first trip to NYC. This hotel is clean and conveniently located. Staff were always friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and the gentlemen who checked us in was very helpful and had recommendations for nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Midtown Manhattan can be noisy but it was not too much of an issue up on the 12th floor. I would definitely recommend staying here if it is your first time in NYC and I would stay here again on a future trip to NYC.
The service here is stellar! I was always greeted whenever I walked into the lobby, and the manager always asked how everything was. She was very understanding and allowed me to check in earlier and even gave me an upgrade with a nice view. She's just very personable and sweet. Every other staff member we interacted with was also very helpful with any requests that we had. The room was clean, and they made our visit to NYC wonderful. I would absolutely stay here again.
