Batam City Hotel (BCM) has been my go-to accommodation for all my Batam visits. Its strategic location provides convenient access to two major malls, along with several charming cafes and local coffee spots. The rooms offer generous space, and I particularly appreciate the powerful air conditioning. Given the reasonable rates, it's important to set appropriate expectations – while comfortable, it's not a luxury establishment. During my stay in room 110, my view was of an adjacent building's wall. On the service front, the staff members can communicate effectively in English. However, i have to mark down one star. Email communication prior to my arrival was horrible. Despite confirming (by both parties) for a pickup, the pickup never arrived and I waited 1 hour at the ferry terminal before giving up.

I chose this hotel over the Good Friday period primarily because it was more affordable than most others in the area. The location is excellent—very convenient for getting around and close to everything you'd need, like restaurants, and convenience stores. I stayed in an Executive Business Room, which was very spacious.

This hotel is highly recommended. It comes with breakfast. Rooms are clean and it comes with hair blower. Best of all they have smoking rooms.
