133 Jeonpo-daero, Nam-gu, Busan, South Korea
Pros. Spacious, modern and clean rooms. Big bathroom with bidet and powerful shower. Excellent housekeeping service. Big modern gym. Cons: nothing much in the area, although all the popular tourist attractions can be accessed via the metro trains that have stations nearby the hotel. No coin operated laundromat at the hotel.
Situated at 3min from the subway station. The view is breathtaking. The staff can be kinder, they do not often say hello when you pass through the lobby and they can't book a taxi for us. However, they come carry your luggage when you arrive and can keep them after checking out.
Just returned home from spending six days in Busan and five nights at The Avani. Getting there: Very easy to use the train system. Cost us US$2.40 one way (two tickets @ $1.20 each....two different trains) from the airport, took about 45 minutes. Every station had escalators and elevators for those, like us, with suitcases, and large gates to push them through. Ticket machines had option to use English and all signs were also posted in English. Exit the international terminal, and cross the street, turn right, and walk 150 metres to the light rail station (Purple Line). Take the train 3 stops to Sasang Station, then take the elevator to the ground floor and then escalator to the Green Line train. Buy your ticket, and climb on the green line train in the direction of Jangsan. 10 stops to the Busan International Finance Centre stop. On arrival, take Exit 3, and once you hit the street, walk 75 metres to the Avani front entrance. (Walk against the traffic flow.) Big wide sidewalk. Checkin: Good level of English, and expect adherence to published checkin-checkout times. Room: Clean, well appointed, very comfy bed, blackout curtains, and 2 bottles of fresh water daily. (Pro tip, if you need more water, take your empty bottles to the gym and fill from the water filter machine, we were recommended not to drink the tap water.) They may want to upgrade their towels to a more posh selection. Breakfast: Good selection of Korean and Western dishes. Special acknowledgement to Mr Andew for ensuring our experience was positive, definitely went the extra mile.
