If you’re looking for experiencing the local culture, and not spending time in an extravagant hotel. This place is perfect for you. Providing the room with an economic price, it’s got everything you need to lead a simple stay. Also, we lost our phone and the staff was very kind to help us.

It has that off the beaten track character. It's not a modern hotel. So it has been fixed up to look neat and tidy. But its quiet, out of the way from the overwhelm of shinjuku. Friendly staff. Laundry facilities. Only thing I could really fault is the strong smell in our room.

This is the perfect place if you’re looking for a private room in a great location at an affordable price. The staff are excellent. However, certain aspects of the rooms haven’t been updated since the 1980s. You can see (and feel!) metal springs coming through the floppy mattress and the bathroom is decked out in floor-to-ceiling beige plastic. If you’re not a princess, this could be a good option. Otherwise, prepare to shell out a little more money to get something nicer.
