1 Chome-21-27 Higashinakajima, Higashiyodogawa Ward, Osaka, 533-0033, Japan
Location-wise, it's great. It's right by the train station. The rooms are extremely small, smaller than other ones I've stayed at in Japan. There is barely any room for luggage. That being said, the staff is very friendly. We accidentally checked out an hour later than we were supposed to, and the staff was understanding. unfortunately they did charge us a little extra, but nothing unreasonable and that was our own fault so it makes sense :)
The service was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially when transferring luggage to another hotel. The rooms are small, but the location is very close to the train station. It works great if you just need a quick place to sleep. Cons: ▪︎ no ability to control room temperature if you need it a little cooler. (You can open the window slightly but trains and people outside can be heard). We stayed in April and it was 60s outside but somehow hot in our room so I think they turn the heat on when its slightly cooler outside and unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it except crack a window. ▪︎ bathroom is very compact. I had to literally sit at a sideways angle to use the toilet because it was very close to the wall. ▪︎the room is also very very compact. There is barely enough room to open your luggage. ▪︎for some reason the pillows here are super slim and hard. We joked that they're honestly like laying on layers of cardboard. Sadly, this is not an exaggeration. Pros: ▪︎the hotel was a great price! ▪︎hotel staff was very friendly and eager to help, they even spoke pretty decent English ▪︎they give you toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fresh towels. ▪︎three minute walk to the train station For comparison, we also stayed at a JR Mets hotel in Omori, Tokyo and the rooms were a little bigger, the bathrooms were alot bigger, the room had individually controlled air conditioning, and the pillows were very fluffy, all for about the same price!
Rooms are good for the price and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. Unlike the previous APA's we stayed at, this one had a SPA (not a true onsen since it's not hot spring water). The TV conveniently displays current occupation, in case you want to avoid crowds.
Excellent location 5 min walk from Shin Osaka station. We thought that there might be noise coming from outside, but to our surprise, the area was quiet at night. The room was tiny. My partner, who is 194cm, was not able to stretch on the bed. His legs were hanging out of the bed. The room and a toilet were in immaculate condition. The only thing that was absolutely not acceptable was the lack of English of the reception staff. They do not speak English at all! We stayed in a few hotels in Japan, and this situation repeated every time. We were very disappointed and frustrated.
