2 Chome-9-7 Sugamo, Toshima City, Tokyo 170-0002, Japan
Sadly, the onsen although a supposedly BIG bonus to stay in, is but a SIMULATED onsen, meaning, it's just hot tap bath water. So, after trying it on my first night and learning about this fact, I'd rather use my own room's bath tub instead of soaking with others' skin cells in their so-called onsens. Lol. The rooms are indeed very small with no place to open up my 26" luggage despite being provided with a luggage rack. Mattress slanting terribly to the side from overuse and room is just enough room for one in my opinion. There's no cool Aircon, only hot air as they still considered March as winter, so need to open up window which as most mentioned, can hear some traffic noise. Tried using their pants press machine but it wasn't hot enough and not effective after several tries. Staff however are great, helpful, and cleaning is acceptable and there's a nice thick porcelain kettle that can do some instant noodles cooking in or keep warm. The coffee and tea satchels are very good quality too. I like that they provide daily replenishments even when room is not due for cleaning (every 3 days unless requested). The TV remote has hygienic wrapping and the TV info is useful. They give pretty good choice of free TV programmes including choice of 3 Hollywood movies, Japanese porn and other entertainment shows. Location is good as it's at the top of the Yamanote Line circle and it's surroundings boasts many interesting local mix of street shopping, izakayas, Etre-eating choices and a Seiyu supermarket round the corner. The JR Yamanote Line really takes about 8mins to truly reach the platform, fyi. Only the Toei Line is a stone throw away, to the entrance at least.
Wow! This place nailed it! Check-in went well enough. I've seen others complaints about it, and while I could see some potential for issues, my experience was the staff was very helpful. The room with the double bed was a nice size. The only thing is it needs a nook for suitcase storage...no big deal. The bed was amazing. Excellent firmness with the right amount of soft and 4 pillows! This has definitely been the most comfortable lodging I've stayed at on my trip and I would definitely stay here again!
First of all. This place is amazing on customer service.i have had a strange time in Tokyo , no one understands me and there patience is non existent but not here. K.nami has went beyond expectations and his patience and professionalism is admired. I just want you know I’m leaving a review and I’m gonna put your name in it. OK I just wanna get her name too, so I put her name.M . Kuroda helped us out upon arriving to the hotel .she informed us of the time of check in was a couple hours out. She offered to hold our personal items until check with was a breath of fresh air to the 10 hour wait then a 12 hour flight to Japan. These two employees are by far my favorite part of being in Tokyo. Thank you for your service and patience
Stayed here for a week with my brother, and it was a pretty good experience. The rooms are a little dated, and there's not a ton going on nearby, but it's near sugamo station on the Yamanote and Mita lines and provides a good place to sleep at the end of a long day.
I was arrived at 9am, so i left my luggage at the lobby. The staff was helpful, the room are good enough, and they have washing machine, ice machine and also public bath. If you want to send luggage to your next hotel at another city, just tell the hotel staff at the reception.
