Newly renovated hotel with incredible service, amenities and breakfast. Location is great too in a not super crowded part of Shanghai. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom had a giant tub. The amenities in the room are definitely luxurious. As a globalist I was able to get a suite upgrade and they were extremely attentive. I’ll be back again.

Could not recommend this hotel more! The location is somewhat tucked away but it’s nice and peaceful in a busy city and close enough to subway lines. The rooms, service, overall atmosphere, and thoughtful touches were amazing and we’ll definitely be staying here again next time we come to Shanghai.

My group of eight friends selected this newly opened haven for our reunion, and it did not disappoint. Every corner sparkled with pristine cleanliness, a clear reflection of its recent launch, while the lobby exuded a resort-like tranquility, providing a perfect escape from the bustling city. The location struck a rare balance between accessibility and serenity. Our evenings were enhanced by a soulful live band, with a singer whose velvety voice effortlessly soared above the melodies. We enjoyed a bottle of Xinjiang wine, earthy yet smooth, its warmth perfectly matching the sophisticated atmosphere. Mornings were a delight, featuring a breakfast of thoughtfully prepared dishes, from congee to delicate pastries, all made with care. Given the quality—spotless design, prime location, live music, and culinary excellence—the value felt refreshingly modest. Here, our travel fatigue melted away completely. To my family and friends: Alila Shanghai is where understated luxury meets genuine hospitality. I will definitely return, and I encourage you to experience it for yourself.
