The hotel is at the end of Queen Street and you have to walk up the hill, which is a bit tiring if you're downtown, but you can take a scooter or a bus, which is very easy and good. The hotel is very nice. The rooms and bathroom are very small and unfortunately there was no AC inside, just a fan, which was very loud, so I always turned it off. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the bed is comfortable. I really liked that the hotel has a restaurant that serves good food and I can recommend it.

My sister and I only stayed for 3 nights, however the atmosphere was great and the staff were so professional, friendly and attentive! My sister and I were so impressed with the service and how kindly they treated us. It was like talking to an old friend. I highly recommend The Abstract Hotel. The ONLY thing the room is missing is a washing/ drying machine for clothes.

Had a great stay at Abstract Hotel. Room was on the small side but the pricing was also really good! The room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel has some beautiful extra features, the library room and other areas, as well as a stunning Italian restaurant. Food was incredible and the decor and feel of the place was amazing. Definitely recommend!!

I feel like I have found a rare gem here. Great spot for Karangahape Road. The rooms are very small, but fully equipped and comfortable. I was really impressed by the use of space. (If I’d stayed any longer than a couple of nights it may have felt cramped, but for the weekend, it was great.) All of the staff, without fail were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Everything was clean and cared for.
