If you enjoy ukiyo-e art, this is a great little museum. The museum has a large collection of prints and they rotate the collection every few months to conserve the pieces (protection againts light exposure etc.). We went here on a rainy sunday afternoon and spent about an hour looking at the wonderful prints. Photos are not allowed inside.

No permanent exhibition. Rotating monthly. From what I gather, always traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e. Small, you’ll spend around an hour or two, depending on how you take in museums. Don’t expect famous Hiroshige or Hokusai paintings. They even say so outside the museum. 1000 ¥ per adult. Students and kids enter cheaper. No pictures allowed. Be aware, maybe it’s a deal breaker. 11am and 2:30pm there are video showings on how ukiyo-e is made. When I went on May 11, 2025, there was an exhibition on bird and flower painting. Quite full on a weekend. But it’s good fine You walk on a route, moving slowly from one painting to another.
