We visited the museum and found it’s really interesting there, with all kinds of mineral stones, mould, even the scale for weighing gold...
The volunteers opened up the place for us as the hours on Google maps were incorrect (updated now). Huge variety of items including photographs Cemetery records, school magazines and outside there are machinery displays. Beautifully curated.
The court room is a treat to roam around and the miniature working scaled version of the mining process is very helpful. Would recommend
Fantastic museum! Good on everything who participated in this showing of history and culture.
What a superb local history museum, one of the best I have visited. Very friendly and knowledgable volunteer staff who help in any way they can. The best exhibit by far: Dowd's peg and letter, its so evocative of the prospector early days (1887!) and is a truly unique artefact. Its Free and highly recommended, its better than the Kalgoorlie Goldfields museum!
