Kanas has a number of attractions but not all attractions are worth the time to go, like the village border with Russia and the lake walk do not go just waste your time. However you can choose the route along the river which has a good view for photos. But you need to put lot of energy to walk a 3.4km wooden path and lots of stairs need to cover. This require strength and endurance but make thing some of the wooden and stone pavement is beneath the rising water. You either detour to the adjacent hillside walkway or walk straight across the stone path cover with a foot of freeze cold river water. But if you can endure it, nice picture wait for you, this obstacle restrict the huge crowd and let you enjoy the picture taking.

The final destination for shuttle buses. From here it is a 1068 steps to the summit to view Friendship Peak where the borders of four countries meet at a single point. Great view of Kanas Lake.

Personal opinion is that this place is slightly over rated. The cruise on the lake is a waste of time and money especially if you are sandwich in the middle seat. The journey is about 30mins which costs 120 RMB. To go up Fish Pavilion, one needs to scan a QR code and 1 phone can book only for 5 people but you must have a China phone number for contact. There's a limitation at each hour to go up. To scan the QR code, you need to wait for the time for the code to be released. Moon bay and Wulong bay are beautiful.

You will not believe that you are in China! For a while I thought I am back in Canada! If you have the chance to visit Altay area, got to come! I know the way and can introduce you to the locals!
