10 Khao Phatthana Alley, Lat Krabang, Bangkok 10520, Thailand
Nice big temple at the river with a small market.
Nice gem hidden in Lat Krabang Fish Tempel.. Or better tempel with fish :-) Close to the temple a place where you can feed fish, and they are huge!! Sometimes the fish get over exited when you feed them, jump out the water, so you might get a little wet :-) Doves like to enjoy the fish food also, and eat out of your hand. The temple, it's an active temple. Not just watch the statues, different places for player, oil, rice, flowers and gold patches to pace on the Buddha. While the huge tempels are impressive, this shows how everyday life/prayers go. Absolutely worth while, especially with children.
A Canadian Tourist Review: We happen to be briefly staying at a hotel nearby. This temple was recommended. It didn't disappoint! It's near the airport and in a quieter part of Bangkok. There are hundreds if not thousands of catfish. We didn't see any tourists here. It is busy but peaceful. Come here in the morning before it gets too hot! This temple puts emphasis on incense too. You can buy food for the catfish for ten baht. You can buy either seeds or special bread. Please don't feed the pigeons! Highly recommend if you're here on a one day layover.
Very beautiful temple to learn about worshipping in Thailand. We lit up incense, offered flowers, put gold leaves on huge idols, hit a small gong, offerred rice, rang lots of bells. There is a bird and fish feeding area outside the temple, by the canal. Beautiful start of the day!
Very nice place,monument of Buddha's
