The Mall, New York, NY 10022, United States
I had not seen this part of Central Park before and was truly glad to discover it. The mall seems to be a large shady tree lined area with several statues of literary figures from the past. Several artist also perform their music in the area adding to our enjoyment. A great place to stroll and enjoy the ambience.
One of my favorite places not just in Central Park, but in all of Manhattan. It can get crowded at times, but it also can be a great spot to sit on a bench in the shade and read a book or enjoy nature.
Tons of seating throughout this area of the park. Great place to have a picnic or just relax and read a book. Seems like there's always something going on here From music to people dancing. The benches are definitely old and need updating but they do the job. Definitely a beautiful place to go and sit in the fall and read a book or have a picnic.
Always an assortment of vendors up and down the walk, the stairway down towards the pond is always a treat. You will be dazzled with amazing talented individuals singing, playing instruments and even dancing along. Always a fun place for a walk in the park, and also so close to the other park key locations that you almost can’t skip this!
If you are at the Central Park, the Mall is where you have to take a Walk. A fantastic promenade that connect the Play Area with the Bethena's fountain. The lush green foliage is soberly interluded by the granite presence of Literary greats.
