This is definitely the best tour we had in Langkawi, we booked a private tour for 3 hours, which was totally worth it. It starts with a nice ride on the boat and we enjoyed the beauty and the views. We also stopped by many places. A place that had some different species of fish, we also could have a seafood lunch there, but we weren't hungry. Also we bought some bananas and fed the monkeys. We also passed through Crocodile cave, which looks like a Crocodile, but it doesn't have any. Also, there was a stop by the bat cave. We also stopped by an area that had many brown eagles. Some packages also included snorkeling, but we didn't include that in our package.

For a boat ride in the mangroves, this is the place!! If it is not a season ( they say November -December ) you can arrive and buy a ride. I took a private boat for 2 hours for 250 Ringgits. It was worth every penny?. The entire people whom I have interacted at all places in langkawi are soo good mannered, trust worthy and here too the experience was the same. The boat driver was so cooperative, and gave us a good experience. They take a long circle to cover all spots. More than anything the ride was awesome. The beauty of sea and the mangroves are just unmatchable. Must do activity. ?

Had gone for a mangrove tour from this place. Paid about RM 90 for it with food, but you can get it cheaper. The tour was real nice and it was worth the money.

We booked this mangrove tour just the day before via klook. There is ample parking right outside the jetty. Its recommended that you make a toilet trip before the start of the tour as there are no toilets available on the small ferries and dont think we saw any toilets at the first offshore point (ie bat cave) as well. We were given sticker to paste on ourselves for identity. Then when boarding time comes, everyone just sorta follow the tour guides/boat operator to load yourself onto the different ferries just at the jetty (note: there is no designated ferry, sorts just first come first serve to load yourself onto the ferry, front part of the ferry is quite high and you have to climb up onto the ferry then climb down again to get down/into the ferry, hence could be challenging for elderly). Once our ferry was packed, the tourguide/boat operator will have to shift everyone around on both sides of the ferry/seats to balance the ferry. Recommended to go to the back and sit (rather than the front) as the first 20mins of the ride is extremely bumpy (as ferry is cruising at high speed across the open ocean to reach the first landmark, ie the geo kilim letters that is located on the side of the steep forested cliff). The bumpiness of the open ocean ride is quite painful on our thighs, and could be difficult for younger children (we had to hold onto our 4yo throughout). And its quite challenging as we had to put on the bulky lifejackets for safety (smaller child size jackets available). After photo opportunities at the geokilim sign on the forested/cliff, the ferry enter into the mangrove water channel and here, the crusing was more bearable/slower. The next stop was the eagle feeding. Basically the boat operator will leave some prepacked food and then drive away to a safe distance for you to watch the many many eagles flying down and catching food off the food packs that are floating in the rivers. Its blink and you will missed it kinda experience as the eagles are very fast. The next stop is at the bat cave where you have to disembark from the ferry to the land (have to pay separate entrance fee here) where you can walk one round around the designated pathway to enter into the bat caves to see the bats roosting inside. We wer3 fortunate as there was another tour guide taking her tour and she shone her bright flashlight up the inside ceiling so we could have a foc view of the bats (our hp torchlight not bright enough to let us see at all). Beware at this location lurk many mangrove macaque who will try to snatch your belongings to steal food from. Just within our tour group, 2 unfortunate ladies had there bags snatched from them and one of them even had their 2x 100rm notes dumped by the macaques down into the mangrove floor! We reboarded the ferry after around 20min for the final visit to lunch venue, which was a floating kelong near jetty. After lunch (around 1hr) we were deposited back at the jetty for us to end the tour.
