Visited this spot just before Christmas and was delighted to find booths filled with an array of festive decorations to choose from. As you stroll along and make your way uphill, you’ll eventually arrive at the historic former site of Victoria Prison, a place rich in history and worth exploring.

Stone slab street is also known as pottinger road and is a series of steps made of slabs of stone. The edge of each step is raised to prevent your feet from slipping. Both sides of this street have shops that sell souvenirs and trinkets as well as offering services such as shoe cobbling or cutting keys

This famous tourist attraction in Central is a Grade I historic building in Hong Kong, flanked by numerous stalls and small shops aside, with some still constructed from old iron sheets. The uneven steps provide great photo opportunities and add to its unique charm. It's just a few minutes' walk from Central Station and is conveniently located near the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator.

Pottinger Street was named in 1858 after Sir Henry Pottinger, Hong Kong's first Governor. The unique stone slab design was intended to provide stability on the steep slope, preventing slippage during Hong Kong's frequent rains.

A must see, authentic and original! It's a fantastic viewpoint and image of the city (see the photos) it also very central and there are many markets and restaurants along the way - so no excuse not to visit!
