4 Parvis Notre-Dame - Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris, France
Notre Dame and its grounds are one of the most popular places for visitors to Paris. The cathedral is situated on the bank of river Seine. Lots of people were walking and enjoying the grounds. There was a musician entertaining people The line up to enter the cathedral was short at the time and we went in. The admission was free. The experience was amazing. There is a display describing the history of the building of this huge cathedral which took over 100 years to build. This was very informative and interesting. There is a small gift shop inside the cathedral.
This is a beautiful place in front of Notre-Dame cathedral. One can see beautiful church and the sienne river from this place. The Paris city is looks beautiful from this place. The clear blue sky adds to the beauty to this place . This place is well maintained and many tourists flock into this area every time they in Paris.
Beautiful location in Paris nearby Notre Dame. Truly a once in a lifetime trip. The best way to see the city is walking, so that was difficult being in my 50's, but not too shabby as we walked an average 7 miles a day. Other ways to see the city, if course, by bus and boat tours. Gorgeous days and lovely city location.
As the sun was shining we took advantage of sitting in the sun for a while, we pottered around for a while then went into Notre-Dame. The area was very busy but clean. I didn’t see any rubbish anywhere which was amazing for all the people that were there.the river runs along the side of it which, is so lovely. There are numerous statues, rose windows & flying buttresses. The gothic stTue of the virgin stands in the centre of the square.
Free entrance, but reservations are required. Open from early morning 7:30 am.
