Nice place for a quiet stroll, but as the island is quite small, it may not be the best spot for a quiet retreat. It will only take you under 30 minutes to walk round the island. However, a very important marine conversation work is being carried out here.

Quite small island, very fast can explore the whole island. Beach and water not too clean not as expected but overall very nice experience

It's a nice place, not very big. Walk one round takes approximately half an hour. If you go on low tides, you can catch a myriad of marine life, including all kinds of fish and corals. If you are lucky enough during low tides, you might be able to spot sharks in the area. There is a small hill that can be climbed and a little tower with free binoculars allowing you to view the surrounding landscape. You can enter the water or simply enjoy the view while sitting on the grass or under one of the shelters with friends, chatting and escaping from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is recommended to bring sunscreen as it can get really hot in the morning, and there is one public toilet with no water cooler on the island, so be sure to bring enough water for hydration. Overall, I would say this is a great place to visit. You would be able to swim as well, and the view over here is better than any of the coast parks, with much border view and the ability to do snorkelling. The ferry is relatively accessible and it is not hard to get over here.

Visited this island after they announced the reopening to public. Honestly, there’s nothing much to do here. It’s an island meant for conservation. You can set up a picnic here though, which has pretty nice views of the sea and islands nearby. Maybe go for a run around the island too. There were some people swimming around so I guess the waters are safe. Definitely less popular and crowded than Lazarus and Kusu which was a plus because it’s quaint. $18 per boat ride from Singapore Marina south pier.
