Such a beautiful place! Highly recommended if you visit Shanghai. 2 hours by bus escaped from busy city to this ancient town. Lots of local food and places for strolling. You can take boat to see the view as well (6 people/boat = 120 rmb)

Interesting village by the water. One of the tourist attractions in Shanghai. There are many stalls selling sugarcane juice, rice dumplings, and chive pancakes. Restaurants do offer stir fried water caltrops, fresh water prawn, and braised pork as their specialties.

This famous water village is one of the few that you can reach completely by metro only. It is very convenient to travel from Shanghai city center as a tourist. The town itself is very beautiful and you can spend a few hours here walking around and trying multiple kinds of local food. Recommended for a day trip!
