Illukkumbura, Sri Lanka
One of the most interesting waterfalls of Sri Lanka. You can go behind the waterfall and see it from behind. Very cool. On the rainy days it's slippery. The basin area is good for a swim but cannot guarantee the safety overall.
Sera Ella Waterfall is absolutely stunning! The scenery is peaceful and refreshing, with a gentle flow of water and a cool atmosphere all around. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers and those looking for a quiet escape. The short hike to the falls is worth it. Highly recommended!
Sera Ella, Sri Lanka: Sera Ella is a beautiful and serene waterfall located in the Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka, nestled within the lush greenery of the Kegalle District. It’s a relatively less-known waterfall compared to some of the more famous ones in Sri Lanka, making it a peaceful spot for nature lovers and photographers. Important Note: • Do not swim in the waterfall. The current in the waters is strong, and swimming could be dangerous, especially around the base of the falls. Always prioritize safety when visiting such natural sites.
Sera Ella Waterfall is a hidden gem worth visiting! The road is in good condition. From the parking area, it’s just a short 10-minute walk through scenic surroundings to reach the falls. The waterfall itself is stunning, especially during the rainy season, with clear water cascading beautifully. It’s a peaceful spot ideal for nature lovers and photographers.
Costs you a little 75 rupee ticket to access this place. I dont think the place is good for bathing but definitely is a great photo location. You can even go underneath the waterfall as well.
