City West Centre Corner Railway Street &, Sutherland St, West Perth WA 6005, Australia
Great experience for young kids. It's a great way to start the learning of how/why things work. Lots of fun activities to do with a rotating attraction which was astronauts this visit. Parking is easy and if you are attending scitech you can pay at the pay stations inside which is $5 instead of $20 for everyone else. The biggest down side is that there is no option for food and drinks other than the vending machine, which is a disappointment as a coffee offer would do really well.
Great spot to entertain the kids for a few hours, interesting for the adults as well. Relatively well priced for the amount of entertainment you get, parking is also cheap if going to Scitech. The staff were great, I went on the last day of the school holidays so it was very busy but everything was running smoothly. Food was very limited, so it's best to eat before or after you go. A great experience overall, 4.5 Stars.
Thought this might be a good stop for an hour or two, but ended up staying 3-4 hours! This place has a huge amount to explore for the kids, prompting lots of scientific questions and teaching them new things outside their normal curriculum. The planetarium show (only 10 minutes) was absolutely brilliant for all ages, and both our kids learned a lot from this short show, and enjoyed it thoroughly! Activities were broad, and included building cars to race down a ramp, controlling robots, or going in a small wind tunnel! A few options for parking, and recommended to get 2-3+ hours if possible.
Science Discovery Center - great place for the kids to hang out and learn about science. Staff are friendly and welcoming. They have pop up science shows every half hour or so, where the staff perform experiments to illustrate science concepts. They make it fun for the kids. Worth a visit!
