I'm so glad to see such a wonderful museum. The best part of that place is that the building or structures that are places in museum are seen normally but as u go as closer to the structure you see the wonderful beauty and the amazing scenario.

Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory in Varanasi. Built in the year 1737, it is one of the five observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh II with an aim of measuring local time, altitude of the place and also to measure declination of Sun, Stars and Planets.The astronomical observatory is on the terrace of 400 year old Man Mandir Palace with panoramic view of the river Ganges.

The Samrat Yantra or the `King of Instruments' is the largest and most imposing of the Yantra's at Delhi observatory. It is 20.73mtr high 38.10mtr from east to west and 34.6mrt from nort to south. Quadrangular pit: presently about 3.30mtr deep, 38.10mtr from east to west and 36.5mrr from north to south. It is used to measure the apparent solar time and local time. It was also used to measure the declination of sun. This is largest sun light clock built by maharaja Swai Jai Singh.

. One star less for the overall maintenance can be better. Just ? . One of the mini Yantas available in this Solar Observatory. . May be less interesting for those who are not interested in the subject - hence this destination can be avoided for tourists who have time constraints. . In simple words these are buildings which were used to measure the positioning of the sun during the day and special days... . ♿✅ Accessible . ♿?️✅ . ♿?✅ Well maintained washroom . Along with other components this destination is worth visiting once.
