Amazing hike through nature! I did the full 8km walk in around 3.5 hours. The waterfall is about halfway and it’s stunning – I even swam in the super cold, fresh water. A peaceful and refreshing experience. Highly recommend!
Came here on Easter Saturday and it was just absolutely stunning. We decided to do the Waterfall Circuit (4K) clockwise which was the best decision as there will be lots of steps downhill and just a gradually incline uphill. The water was very refreshing and it was just breathtaking to swim in the beautiful scenery. It took us 30 min down and 40 min up. The parking situation was a bit tricky as it was a national bank holiday but we got lucky and parked already a bit before the main parking lot.
Another amazing easy 2 hour circuit walk to see a magnificent waterfall. Plenty of parking. Do the recommended clockwise way, in my humble opinion better vistas. This car park has toilets and a picnic area which the Twin Falls waterfall walk does not. Got one leech bite, but nothing to be alarmed about. Wear hiking boots or shoes because it was very muddy! When you get to the bottom it is fantastic.
We visited Purling Brook Falls with family on a Tuesday morning, and it was nothing short of amazing! The hike took us about 2 hours round trip, and it was a fantastic bit of exercise — going down into the valley and then making the climb back up definitely gave us a good workout! But every step was worth it. Walking through the lush rainforest felt like entering another world — peaceful, green, and full of life. And then there’s the waterfall itself — simply indescribable. The highlight of our trip was seeing a rainbow forming in the mist of the falls — a magical sight that photos just can’t do justice to. Yes, the hike can be a bit challenging, especially on the way back up, but the natural beauty and serenity of the place make it all worthwhile. It’s the perfect spot for anyone who loves nature, hiking, or just wants to disconnect for a little while. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for a refreshing outdoor adventure. Absolutely a 5-star experience!
We stopped here and did the short (300 metre) walk to see the falls. It was absolutely stunning ? Would love to come back and do the 2-3 hour walk.
