Great place to visit, especially if it’s your first time in Kuala Lumpur. Petaling Street is full of energy, with plenty of street food, bargain shopping, and local vibes. It’s a fun spot to walk around, try some snacks, and soak in the culture.

That said, if you’ve been here before, not much has changed,it’s still the same classic Petaling Street. But that familiar charm is part of what makes it special!

Petaling Street is a nice place to explore, especially if you enjoy cultural sights and local flavors. If you’re driving, I recommend parking at Four Points Hotel ? it’s convenient and costs RM5 per hour if you can’t find a spot nearby.

Try to visit before sunset, as the night atmosphere may not feel as pleasant or safe.
For me, the highlight was the beautiful Indian temple full of colors, carvings, and quiet spirit.

The actual market itself is just another hub of cheap bags & shoes, the same clothes as every other market, and it's really over priced. Nothing interesting to see at all. The only thing we enjoyed was the delicious mixed mochi we bought from a sweet old lady.
Just outside the market though, the little restaurants, shops & street art in the surrounding streets, are incredible - rated 5*!!?
