Pergasingan Hill - Hiking And Camping

We were warned that a lot of people hiked the hill and stayed overnight during the weekends. We climbed the hill on a Tuesday afternoon and were lucky enough to be only 2 tents on the hilltop. We witnessed the most beautiful sunset in Indonesia here with a view of the neighbouring hills, Mount Rimjani and the ocean.

Pictures don’t do this place justice! My boyfriend and I did an afternoon hike and camped on top of the hill. The trail was not at all crowded, and we had the entire camping area to ourselves. We saw the most beautiful sunset of our lives and caught a beautiful sunrise as well. The trail itself is a bit steeper and strenuous than expected (we like to think ourselves pretty fit but this has us questioning that) so definitely bring water and take your time coming down. Reasonable hike in the early morning before check out time. Beware of the steep climb. June is the good time for hike. I went with my 59yo dad, husband, and colleagues, and we had a great time and took lots of photos ???

25.000 idr entry fees. with 5.000 idr parking fees. Pretty high up but only takes 1 - 2 hours depends on how fit you are. Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water with you. Great view. *be aware of the monkeys.
