The best time to visit is in the evening when the monument is beautifully lit, and the surrounding area comes alive with a vibrant yet serene ambiance. The Amar Jawan Jyoti (eternal flame) adds a deeply emotional touch, reminding visitors of the valor and sacrifice of Indian soldiers. There are ample open spaces around for a leisurely walk, and the well-maintained gardens make it a great spot for families and tourists. However, weekends can get quite crowded, so an early morning or late evening visit is ideal for a more peaceful experience.

It was a great experience visiting it — especially around 6 PM on a weekend. Try to catch the retreat or the guard-changing ceremony (every Sunday). And always go when you have time. Don’t rush it.
